Are we overreacting to Omicron? Dr. Paul Elias Alexander posted this question in one of his articles published in Brownstone Institute on November 26, 2021.

According to Alexander, “the WHO has said that the Omicron variant can spread more quickly than other variants. Likely true. The virus is behaving just how viruses behave. They are mutable and [they] mutate, and, via Muller’s ratchet^[1]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muller’s_ratchet, we expect this to be milder and milder mutations, not more lethal ones, given that the pathogen seeks to infect the host and not arrive at an evolutionary dead-end [see WHO: No Evidence on Higher Transmissibility of Omicron Variant]. But similar with Delta, it is very infectious but non-lethal, especially for children and healthy people.”

Other points Alexander has raised:

• Society is devastated by a pathogen that is essentially harmless to most people, especially children.
• Governments failed to tend to the non-Covid illnesses, and we locked down the healthy and well (children and young and middle-aged healthy persons) while failing to adequately protect the vulnerable and high-risk persons such as the elderly.
• This failure rests on public health messaging and government. Governments have failed! Not the people. The Task Forces have failed, not the people.
• Nations thought that they could stay locked down and wait for a vaccine. The problem is there was an opportunity cost because the vaccine we were waiting on was suboptimally developed without the proper safety testing or assessment of effectiveness.
• We have data that the Pfizer vaccine loses 40% of antibodies per month, meaning in 3 months post-shot, you have low effective vaccinal immunity. So we spent on getting the vaccine, and it cost us natural immunity and thus, herd immunity.
• These studies have also revealed that the PPE and masking were essentially ineffective within the healthcare setting. Omicron is nothing but another harmless variant and will only become detrimental once the media inject its lethal scare propaganda anew. We saw this in 2020, in Delta, and Fauci had even used this in Lambda but failed [see Fauci dials in the fear, says Lambda worse than Delta. Also, see this published study https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.07.28.454085v1, where they also said that the Lambda variant exhibits higher infectivity and immune resistance, but since it lacked the hype of media and big tech the public was largely unaware of it, so no panic was infused]. Authorities are evidently overreacting. Are we supposed to lockdown with every new “more transmissible” variant discovered? This impulse came from the Zero Covid crowd, and even the most strict proponents of this policy are already admitting that it is impossible to achieve [see Singapore Abandons Zero COVID Strategy]. Here comes another delirium and it seems it is up to us, the people if we still buy this kind of absurdity.

It has been 21 months; it’s high time to look deception straight in the eyes and tell it, we have enough!
