The following article was published by the Philippine News Agency last November 29, 2021. It reports a new statement from the World Health Organization (WHO) concerning the new variant: “It is not yet clear whether Omicron is more transmissible (e.g., more easily spread from person to person) compared to other variants, including Delta…There is currently no information to suggest that symptoms associated with Omicron are different from those from other variants.”

The WHO also said that there is indication showing that the current vaccines “can still be effective in the treatment of Omicron”.

Editor’s Note: We want to add this article here for people who are now panicking about the Omicron variant. If WHO has been your source of news about COVID, then know – you are panicking for nothing.

We will unpack the “new hysteria” being created by mainstream media regarding the Omicron variant in a separate article. For now, suffice it to say that we’ve seen this same hysteria previously from the same people and institutions.
