A February 3, 2022 article published in Radyo Inquirer reported that parents of two kids injured by the Dengvaxia vaccine had asked a court in Quezon City to issue a temporary restraining order (TRO) to stop the rollout of COVID 19 vaccines to children aged five to 11.

According to the report, the petitioners Girlie Samonte and Dominic Almerol want the court to issue a writ of a preliminary injunction for the Department of Health Memorandum No. 2022-0041. The respondents to the petition include Health Sec. Francisco Duque III, Health Usec. Ma. Rosario Vergeire and the DOH Public Health Services Team. There were mixed reactions from parents, and some praised DOH, but others, same as Samonte, know what experimental means. Here are some points we would like to add:

• Covid jab for children, especially for five to 11 years old, was authorized by US Food and Drug Administration even with limited safety data.
