In a February 11, 2022 article published in The Diplomat, Yvonne Su and Sivakamy Thayaalan reported that the Philippines’ COVID-19 Response has further marginalized the vulnerable.

The authors have discussed the following points:

• The Philippines is one of the many countries dealing with the effects of vaccine inequity
• The country’s vaccination rate remains relatively low, with only 52 percent of the population fully vaccinated
• In November 2021, 93% of residents in the National Capital Region had been fully vaccinated compared to only 9 percent of people in the predominantly Muslim areas of the southern Philippines
• The Philippine government has scapegoated and criminalize the poor^[1]https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/4/13/poverty-punished-as-philippines-gets-tough-in-virus-pandemic who have to pursue their livelihood outside the home (due specifically to insufficient government assistance) for “violating” lockdown measures
• Wealthy nations must also support vulnerable nations by actually adhering to their commitments of sharing vaccine supplies and by sharing patents for vaccines so that countries in the Global South can produce them

Editor’s Note: What does this article illustrate? The authors have indirectly described the Philippine situation and management of covid-19. And while the article’s focus has mainly been on vaccine inequity, there are so many insights that are not so readily available to the regular reader.

First, all the Philippines’ resolutions and policies relating to COVID are anti-poor. Those who suffered the most are the already marginalized, less fortunate Filipinos, those who are considered “hand-to-mouth,” people so poor that they have to work extra hard to put food on the table. These people had no emergency fund, no savings, and no capacity to loan from banks to spend for their daily needs.

Second, the authors failed to discuss that Philippine health authorities don’t know any treatment to covid, but covid jab. And having accordance with this standpoint illustrates that majority, if not all, those who hold power during the covid era, have turned out to be Big Pharma salespeople.

In fact, if we look at available global data, the higher the vaccination rate, the higher the cases and mortality rate [see Worldwide data from 185 nations prove that the highest death rates are in the most vaccinated countries; we are now in a pandemic of the vaccinated; PfizerGate Scandal: The Worldwide Cover-up of Data to Hide Covid-19 Vaccines Cause VAIDS ].

Also, look at image 1 below. This is the Philippines’ very own data. As the global data, it is the most vaccinated region experiencing high COVID cases and deaths. Why is this happening? We thought vaccines were supposed to be the solution?

The government is adamant about convincing the BARMM region to increase the jab rate, but they are faring well compared to those regions with high vaccination uptake. The lower their vax rate, the lower their cases. Areas like Metro Manila followed by Calabarzon have coerced their citizens to take the jab (remember the No Vax, No Ride policy?), but covid cases and deaths are also burgeoning in these areas [see 56% of New COVID Cases Logged in Highly Vaccinated Metro Manila; Mandaluyong City Covid-19 Cases are Driven by Vaccinated; What’s Wrong with the DoTr’s “No Vax, no Ride” Policy?].

DOH still holds its campaign on mass vaccination and trumpeting the safe and effective narrative. Clearly, mass inoculation also drives covid cases, mortality rates, and adverse events. Soon, all covid narratives will collapse, followed by reckoning for those complicit in the covid crime.
