In this October 26, 2021 article for Express UK, Callum Hoare reports on the recent results of a University of Oxford study showing the AstraZeneca and Pfizer COVID vaccines could lead to the development of severe and potentially life-altering neurological side effects.
According to the study which has been published by Nature Medicine, there were 38 excess cases of Guillain-Barre Syndrome per 10 million people given the AstraZeneca vaccine. The adverse event was found to have been more common following the first jab.
The research also found an association between the Pfizer jab and hemorrhagic stroke but no further details about this were revealed in the report.
Dr. Lahiru Handunnetthi, a co-author of the study, said: “In our study of over 32 million people, we found that several neurological complications such as Guillain-Barre syndrome were linked to both Covid-19 infection and first dose vaccination…These neurological complications were very rare, but awareness of these will be important for patient care during mass vaccination programmes across the world.”
Editor’s Note: The study cited below investigates neurological adverse events following COVID vaccination. And though the Express article continues to assert that these side effects are so rare they do not matter, it is important to take note of these facts mentioned in the actual study:

- The number of people experiencing Guillian-Barre syndrome has increased following vaccination.
- There is an increased risk of hospital admission for hemorrhagic stroke for those who have received the Pfizer vaccine .
- There are 60 excess cases of hemorrhagic strokes per million people reported during the 28 days following vaccination.
- More females experienced hemorrhagic strokes compared to males.
Even if these side effects are “very rare”, we must understand that these are not minor adverse events that can be swept under the rug. The authors themselves recognize the fact that these causes “lifelong disability requiring long-term care”. As COVID vaccination is now being pushed among very young people, this reality will start to become even more significant. What if your 5-year old child develops this “rare” side effect and is forced to live with the consequence for decades? Can you forgive yourself knowing that your decision has led to your child’s suffering? Even if these side effects are “very rare”, the fact that scientists still do not know the factors that could lead to individuals experiencing these neurological conditions following vaccination means that these COVID are not 100% safe. Taking these vaccines is like playing Russian roulette – you’ll never know if you are next. No matter how much manipulation the government does, the fact that these vaccines are experimental does not change.
