In this October 14, 2021 article for The Times, Kat Lay reports on the increase in the number of patients who consult with their general physicians (GPs) complaining of symptoms of a so-called super-cold.

The article says, “Experts said this was unlikely to represent a new strain of the coronavirus but was the result of 18 months of social distancing cutting levels of immunity against regular, seasonal colds.”

According to data from the UK Health Security Agency, calls to their hotline about colds and flu, a cough or difficulty in breathing have increased above expected levels, especially among patients aged 15 to 44 years. GP services for patients seeking help with lower and upper respiratory tract infections have also increased.

Editor’s Note: Although we do not fully agree with all the statements made in The Times article, we are publishing this article to show people that lockdowns has created a total problem for the health care sector. We must remember that unlike COVID which mainly affects the frail elderly and the immunocompromised, regular flu could have severe effects (sometimes leading to death) among younger people.

When governments forced people to shelter in place, to wear masks, and to avoid mingling their friends, they might have suspended the spread of the flu, but the measure didn’t fully eradicate it [see This year, COVID-19 has killed off the flu]. It only moved infection to a later date, and has made people experience more severe symptoms than they otherwise without the COVID measures, because their immune systems have become less effective due to the lack of “challenge”. If SARS-CoV-2 were more severe than regular flu, can you imagine what can happen once all COVID restrictions are lifted?

Remember how mainstream media vilified Dr. Knut Wittkowski when he said that lockdowns were going to cause new epidemics? More than one year of data has proven that Wittkowski was right all along. Now we must remember that there is no truth to the claim that SARS-CoV-2 is a super deadly virus [see CDC updates planning scenarios, shows IFR lower than flu, New estimates put COVID infection fatality rate at 0.15%]. Evidence shows that it is about (if not less) deadly than the normal flu, for which no extraordinary restrictions were ever implemented in the past. The fact that health restrictions continue despite the evidence and the “availability of vaccines” (which they promised was the only thing we were waiting for to lift all restrictions) means that this is no longer about health.

We have destroyed our economies and societies for nothing. We have suspended our children’s lives and have damaged their mental health for a bad flu.
