While this article was published in December 2021, it is even more relevant today as countries are now rolling back pandemic restrictions, but are refusing to fully lift the need for vaccine passports. World travel has not returned to normal as many countries continue to require proof of vaccination before travelers are allowed to enter. Why?

Previous studies have already shown that vaccine passports make no impact on controlling infection and transmission.
