Open letter to pediatricians and parents includes more than 1,000 references for true informed consent on COVID vaccination
The following is an open letter written by Dr. Robert M. Rennebohm, a well-known pediatrician and pediatric rheumatologist practicing in Cleveland, Ohio.
In this letter, Rennebohm attempts to unpack the two opposing narratives that is now causing confusion among parents whom he says “simply want to do the right thing”. Through this letter, he hopes to “clarify the science behind COVID vaccination issues; facilitate healthy, inclusive dialogue; and bring people together to jointly determine what would be best for children and Humanity as a whole.”
Some of the most important topics covered in this article include:
- An overview of the human immune system
- What happens if a pandemic is managed without a mass vaccination campaign?
- Concerns about the COVID vaccine: Adverse events
- Vaccine efficacy
- How necessary and wise COVID vaccination has been
- Informed consent as the obligation of pediatricians
He includes in this article a list of more than 1,000 references that can be perused by medical professionals and laypeople, should they wish to fact-check his work.
Editor’s Note: This is what it means to give informed consent – give patients all the pros and cons of the COVID vaccination, based on what the science, from real health experts, says. To be truly informed of your decision means that you’ll have read more than that piece of “informed consent” paper that the government has given you.
In fact, in our recent analysis (currently unpublished) of the informed consent forms in the Philippines, we have found that the Department of Health has not updated the forms to include new known side effects of COVID vaccines. Filipinos still do not know of the increased risk for heart inflammation from Pfizer and Moderna [read FDA adds heart inflammation warning to Pfizer, Moderna experimental vaccines].
Many are not aware that both AstraZeneca and Johnson&Johnson are confirmed to cause transverse myelitis [see EU Lists Transverse Myelitis as Side Effect of J&J COVID-19 Shot, EMA lists spinal condition as side effect of Astra Zeneca COVID shot]. Or that early coronavirus has failed to vaccine-enhanced disease [sometimes referred to as Antibody-dependent enhancement, read Pre-print study from Japan shows Delta will acquire complete resistance to current COVID vaccines].
The Philippine government keeps saying that the COVID vaccines are safe and effective, which effectively disinforms the public about the fact that these vaccines have real risks that can afflict people randomly [see Japanese Health Ministry warns of COVID vaccine’s side effects, Japanese Health Ministry: COVID Vaccination Not Mandatory, to be Given Only with Informed Consent, Singapore acknowledges dangers of vaccinating children and teenagers, Australian Health Official Tells the Senate to Lie to the Public About the Covid Jab Adverse Events, VigiAccess Has Recorded Thousands of Cases, W.H.O’s VigiAccess Shows More than Two Million Adverse Events Following COVID Vaccination].
We hope that before you think about vaccinating your young child, you know that such a decision is not entirely risk-free [read the story of Joy Corpuz, a 17-year old girl who developed a psychiatric disorder one day after her COVID vaccination, Psychiatric Disorder Following Pfizer COVID Jab, Not a Rare Case].
