In the article, Mercola discusses the February 15, 2021 commentary of Jonathan Sumption who said that liberal democracy is starting to fail and our societies are starting to succumb to authoritarian rule. COVID has enabled governments to overreach. Sumption writes, “A threshold has now been crossed. A big taboo has gone. Other governments will say that the only question that matters is whether it works and whether they can ‘get away with it’ … We already have a striking example. The vaccine, which was supposed to make the lockdown unnecessary, has become a reason for keeping it in force…”

The article goes on to give various examples of instruments of control being employed by governments today: controlled media, and political clamor for massive censorship.

Mercola then asks: What is the deeper aim of this struggle for control? He says, “It’s important to realize that authoritarian dictators are not, in fact, trying to help you. They’re trying to change you. Censorship does not protect the public. It’s a control mechanism, as you are unlikely to rebel against an injustice that you don’t even know exists, or if you know about it, your understanding of the problem is diametrically opposed to the truth; hence, you’ll support a “solution” that will perpetuate or deepen the problem….At an even deeper level, censorship and information suppression is an effort to alter your cognitive faculties, because how do you even define people and things that you are not allowed to criticize?”

Mercola then goes on to talk about how medicine is being weaponized and cites examples of how the same strategies being employed these days are the same ones employed before. He connects medical control to transhumanism and The Great Reset and the Depopulation Agenda.

He then moves on to discuss the vast implications of succumbing to vaccine mandates and vaccine passports. Mercola says, “Safeguarding our Constitutional rights and civil liberties against unlawful government overreach is essential. Yet many are willingly giving up freedoms that, once gone, may be difficult, if not impossible, to get back”. He asks: “Will you obey or fight for freedom?”

We wholeheartedly agree with Mercola. What we lose by conforming to the unscientific and illogical mandates of our governments is our freedom as human beings. What you gain by taking the vaccine and adhering to vaccine passports is too little compared to what you will lose – democracy, your humanity, and your human dignity.
