Organizers of Tour de France are reintroducing the masks this year in an attempt to “mitigate the risks of COVID-19 transmission among participants”.

According to the article published by Cycling News, face masks will be mandatory for riders, team staff, and race officials during mass gatherings such as podium ceremonies, team presentations, and media interactions.

It seems as if the current COVID science is independent of data, and is dependent only on what governments and authorities say.
