In a March 12, 2022 article published in ABS-CBN News, Job Manahan reported that the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) allowed only fully vaccinated students to attend in-person classes at colleges and universities.

According to the report, on March 12, CHED reiterated that as higher education institutions (HEI) were expected to resume under looser restrictions, only fully vaccinated students from COVID-19 would attend in-person classes.

CHED Chairperson Prospero de Vera said those who remained unvaccinated could take part in online classes. In a televised briefing, De Vera said (translated from Filipino): “Those who are unvaccinated can opt for online classes. CHED’s policy for all higher education institutions is still flexible learning policy.”

It has been identified that those who are immunocompromised and elderly with co-morbidities are the most vulnerable to covid; however, data shows covid jab failed to protect this segment of society [see Norway Study Finds ZERO Vaccine Effectiveness Against Death for Covid Hospital Patients; Study shows COVID vaccines unable to protect vulnerable groups; Study: Risk of death following vaccination higher than COVID-19 among the most vulnerable groups].

With these facts, what scares the authority to open up society and schools? During the surge of Omicron, colleges and universities with high vaccination rates had spiked covid cases^[1]https://www.npr.org/2022/01/23/1072730869/omicron-college-campuses-covid-outbreaks. Evidently, covid jabs do not protect vaccinated from the covid transmission.  

CHED employs preferential treatments and subtle coercion for students to take the jab to prevent the covid-19 Alpha variant; 15 months have already passed, and the ‘virus’ has already evolved. What benefit would young people gain from getting injected with something they do not need?
