In this September 25, 2021 report for Epoch Times, Jack Phillips reports on a recent statement released by New York Governor Kathy Hochul detailing how she plans to deal with the expected shortages in hospital staffing after thousands of health care workers failed to meet the deadline for the state’s vaccine mandate.

According to the report, about 16% of the state’s 450,000 hospital staff members, or 72,000 workers, remain unvaccinated. The governor’s office said that those who failed to meet the deadline for vaccination will be terminated and will not be receiving unemployment insurance, unless they can present a valid doctor-approved request. No statement has been made regarding religious exemptions.

Hochul said that the National Guard can be tapped to replace unvaccinated health care workers. She adds that “the situation would allow her to declare an emergency to increase the supply of health care workers to include licensed workers from other states, other countries, and retired nurses”.

Editor’s Note: This article elicits for us quite a few insights. First is this: If COVID was a real health emergency, then why is the New York Governor undermining the state’s health care system by insisting that health workers take the vaccine? If these workers have been able to work in hospitals for over a year and managed to stay healthy despite having no vaccine, why are they now being disregarded as if they made no contribution to the “fight” against COVID? Is taking the vaccine now more important than ensuring that hospitals are adequately staffed with competent and qualified health care workers?

Our second insight is this: 72,000 is not a small number. Why would health care workers not take the vaccine if it is “safe and effective”? Who doesn’t want to protect their lives from a “deadly virus” if there is a solution against it? Or is it possible that the resistance is stemming from the fact that these workers have seen first hand the effect of these “vaccines” and they know of the damages it can cause? Third, if New York reaches a state of emergency due to a failing health system, people must remember that such an emergency is artificial. Has this been predetermined by world leaders? Even if it wasn’t, the lies and manipulation that has characterized this entire “pandemic”, compounded by the act of forcing people to take a dangerous and useless vaccine points to the reality that there is something else to this “health crisis”.
