Peddlers Of Environmental Doom Have Shown Their True Totalitarian Colors

Peddlers Of Environmental Doom Have Shown Their True Totalitarian Colors

In this August 15, 2022 article for The Telegraph, Professor Jordan Peterson slams the “elite groupthink…the cabal of utopians in the media, corporate and government fronts, wielding a nightmarish vision of environmental apocalypse”.

Peterson begins his discussion with a report released by Deloitte called The Turning Point: A Global Summary which promotes the claim that “experts can and must model the entire ecology and economy of the planet and that we must modify everyone’s behavior, by hook or by crook, to avoid what would otherwise be the most expensive and social catastrophe in history”.

Peterson says that local authority, not centralized ones, will be better able to solve these purported problems. Modeling will offer no solution. Instead, he says, “the free market is the best model of the environment we can generate, and it will remain the best model that we can, in principle ever be generated. It cannot be improved upon, certainly not by presumptuous power-mad utopians”.

Editor’s Note: We will remember how governments have tried to use modeling to predict the impact of COVID, and look where we are now [see Experts: The code that led to lockdowns was a “buggy mess”, Professor lockdown: The good and the bad, and Death Rate, Science, Lockdown, Fear, the “New Normal”, Vaccines, Social Control and the Immune System].

While we acknowledge the importance of caring for biodiversity and the environment, we also acknowledge the fact that no all-encompassing solution can be imposed in countries. Countries cannot (and should not) simply mandate the closure of farms without consultation from their citizens [see European Farmers Rise Up Against Government Tyranny, Canada, Ireland Issue Climate Restrictions Similar To The Netherlands, Netherlands move to shut down farms to meet climate goals].

In the same way that governments cannot just mandate people to take experimental shots, they cannot force people to stop eating meat, or to change their beliefs. [One of the core principles of the Great Reset is changing mindsets, read COVID-19: The 4 building blocks of the Great Reset]. And they cannot glorify lockdowns knowing that it has been a useless endeavor, and that it has been damaging for our societies [see World’s Economic Meltdown Are Rooted In 2020 Lockdowns, African experience proves countries “mishandled” COVID, Stanford’s Dr. John Ioannidis destroys the Covid lockdown narrative].

The environmental crisis is just another propaganda meant to promote the creation of global institutions that would have the power to control the world’s vast resources. The purported environmental solutions they want to create involve the use of huge resources which could otherwise be utilized to improve the lives of the poor and marginalized. Moreover, a number of the solutions being proposed by the government are themselves not entirely environmentally sound.1https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/02/climate/electric-vehicles-environment.html, https://www.forbes.com/sites/michaelshellenberger/2021/06/21/why-everything-they-said-about-solar—including-that-its-clean-and-cheap—was-wrong/?sh=28387a435fe5, https://www.sciencefocus.com/science/what-is-lab-grown-meat-a-scientist-explains-the-taste-production-and-safety-of-artificial-foods/

If governments truly wanted to address climate change, then the solution is local, which will also consider the needs and capacities of local communities. The solution to climate change will require for communities to go back to their roots, not on adapting questionable technology that will only benefit the rich.
