Fauci caught lying again, this time about NIAID’s ties with Wuhan Lab

In this article, Alexander summarizes Dr. Anthony Fauci’s statements at a Congressional budget committee hearing held last May 5, 2021.

In this new hearing, Fauci admitted that he had allocated a $600,000 funding to EcoHealth Alliance which then outsourced its researches to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) [to learn more about this connection, read Experts: US-funded lab helped Chinese Army’s bioterrorism program and New evidence ties COVID-19 origin to Wuhan lab, research funded by NIAID].

Fauci was quoted to have said “It would have been almost a dereliction of our duty if we didn’t study this, and the only way you can study these things is you’ve got to go where the action is…You don’t want to study bats in Fairfax County, Virginia to find out what the animal-human interface is that might lead to jumping of species. So we had a modest collaboration with very respectable Chinese scientists who were world experts on coronavirus, and we did that through a sub-grant from a larger grant to EcoHealth.”

Despite the admission that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) had indeed funded research of the WIV, Fauci continues to insist that the funding was not for gain-of-function research.

Editor’s Note: We will remember that last May 12, 2021, Fauci and Senator Rand Paul got into a heated debate at a Senate hearing after Fauci denied that the NIAID funded gain-of-function research. The next day, Sen. Paul went on air to say that Dr. Fauci lied, showing proof that indeed, the NIAID has funded gain-of-function research being done by the Wuhan lab on bat coronaviruses [see Sen. Now we can see that Fauci is grasping at straws by trying to feign ignorance at the research being conducted by WIV.

This latest flip-flopping from Fauci is no surprise, as he has been changing his position all throughout the “pandemic”. While Fauci continues to insist that his change in views came with the developments in knowledge relating to the virus, this is not entirely accurate. The information on about the lab leak theory has always been there, but Fauci, backed by the media, has dismissed alternative ideas. And since Fauci is considered as one of the “authorities” by Big Tech companies, the evidences pointing to the possibility that the Wuhan Lab is the source of the SARS-CoV-2 virus has been silenced. Posts promoting the alternative theory has been labeled as “misinformation”. Censorship, not evidence, was the only reason Fauci’s reputation has been able to hold out this long.

Now that the evidence is coming to light, Fauci, along with the fake fact-checkers who relied on his credentials to distort and hide the truth, are forced to recant their statements. ,

Last May 20, 2021, Politifact was forced to rescind its fact check regarding the origins of SARS-CoV-2, saying:

Politifact has not sent out a formal apology to scientists whose reputations were tarnished because of the lies they helped promote.

Why would anyone still trust Fauci and fake fact checkers?

Now we want to point out the fact that the media is in on this lie too. Back in February 2021, before the World Health Organization published the results of the fact-finding commission sent to China, several media outfits already published articles concluding that the lab leak was unlikely. Where did these news outlets get their information? And why didn’t Fauci tell them then, “since it can’t be fully proven, he’s opening to investigating other theories”, a statement recently put out by Newsweek in defense of Fauci.^[2]https://www.newsweek.com/timeline-what-dr-fauci-has-said-about-wuhan-lab-covids-origins-1594698

And when the WHO finally published their report,^[3]https://www.who.int/news/item/30-03-2021-who-calls-for-further-studies-data-on-origin-of-sars-cov-2-virus-reiterates-that-all-hypotheses-remain-open why didn’t Fauci correct the false news being reported by the media? In fact, why didn’t the WHO do the same thing?
