The Nightmares of Materialism. Part 2. Darwinian Worldview Collapses A. Darwinism Leads to Two World Wars

Readers may wonder why Covid Call to Humanity is developing a lot of its time and energy on seemingly irrelevant topics such as worldviews and foundational ideas of world civilizations. As explained previously, if one wants to change structural injustice and violence, one needs to look at the worldviews and image of the human being that are implicit in such destructive manifestations in the world.1

Darwinism2 is “Exhibit A” in demonstrating how a gripping worldview can transform a world into utter chaos and destruction, fueling such tragedies as World War 1 and II. And its destructive work is not finished. It is very much active until today with fateful consequences.

The Burning Relevance of Darwin Today

Many scientists, social thinkers, politicians and philosophers drew on Darwin for their conception of a materialist worldview. Even Marx and Engels viewed Darwin’s work as the natural proof and justification of their dialectical materialist worldview of history.3 This is huge as Marxism, and its offshoot, Communism, continue to play huge roles in the current drama of world evolution.

The social implications of his theory of evolution, called Social Darwinism, was used to justify Eugenics, infanticide, euthanasia, and radical abortion policies.4 This worldview also justified the culling out of humans unfit according to arbitrary standards of those in power. Furthermore, it lent support for colonialism, racism, and imperialism.

While there was a strong Social Darwinism movement in Germany,5 Hitler was also inspired by the Eugenics movement in the US6 and paid close attention to the eugenics legislation being passed in the US. He said:

“Now that we know the laws of heredity,” he told a fellow Nazi, “it is possible to a large extent to prevent unhealthy and severely handicapped beings from coming into the world. I have studied with interest the laws of several American states concerning prevention of reproduction by people whose progeny would, in all probability, be of no value or be injurious to the racial stock.”7

Hitler championed the racist notion of the superiority of the Aryan race. This worldview ultimately led to World War II. Millions died as a result. Worldviews are not rarified abstractions. Once placed into action, they can destroy countries and wreak havoc on the entire world.

Hitler had consciously continued the racist and eugenic worldview of leaders in early 20th century Germany. The latter went to war with a Darwinian ideology.

Social Darwinism: Alive and Well in the NWO

But Eugenics is not dead. As we have seen, it is very much alive in different forms in the Great Reset of the New World Order championed, among others, by the World Economic Forum.8

To understand the massive transition of humanity from a spiritual to a materialist worldviews, with Darwin as its portal, let us take a brief look at an even more prestigious scientist, Isaac Newton.9 This great scientist, the discoverer of the laws of gravity, gave us the concept of the clockwork universe. The universe works like a clock. But Newton believed in God. He believed that God had designed the universe to work like a clock and did not interfere with the working of the lawful mechanisms in the Universe.

Darwin, however, with his theory of random variation and natural selection, claimed that there was no need for God. God was irrelevant because his book, according to him, demonstrated that the vast diversity and beauty in nature were all created by chance through the mechanism of natural selection. There was no need for a god.10

Huge debates ensured during his time with many top scientists showing that Darwin was mistaken. One of these was Louis Agassiz of Harvard University. He was not impressed with Darwin’s book, Origin of Species. He called the book ‘a scientific mistake, untrue in its facts, unscientific in its methods, and mischievous in its tendency.’11

But, in the end, Darwin’s theory prevailed and that was the beginning of scientific materialism.

Yet for all its hype and popularity, we will show that leading mainstream scientists, even former supporters of Darwinism, see Darwin’s view as a dead end. This will be the subject of our subsequent articles in this series.

Our century will finally see the false and eventually destructive worldview of Darwin collapse. It has been killed by an onslaught of hard facts that Darwinism cannot answer.
