Why a move towards a cashless society should concern us all

0

In this November 2, 2022 article, GP Taylor discusses the implications of a cashless society. Taylor raises concerns about the exclusion of individuals without bank accounts from participating in economic activity, the privacy issues, and increasing government control that arises with the introduction of central bank digital currency (CBDC) like “Britcoin.” He says, “A cashless society means that money could be programmable…the Britcoin issuer could say what you can and cannot spend your money on”.

Taylor also reminds us of how the Canadian government used the financial system to stop the Freedom Convoy from further awakening people to the anomalies of COVID policies [see Canadian experience shows glimpse of totalitarian future we can expect if citizens do not pushback and Paypal Launches Attack on Free Speech].

Editor’s Note: If you think that our current globalist system is problematic, then imagine how chaotic it can become if money is no longer limited by the materials needed to print money. Imagine how much “imagined” money can be accumulated by the richest people on earth while the poor struggle to feed their families.

What people do not realize is that aside from the dangers of CBDCs, money also has its own economics which needs to be balanced. Failure to do so could lead to the failure of entire countries and economies [for those who want to understand this better, we recommend you recommend you begin to understand what an economic bubble is].
