Face Masks Outdoors No Longer Required In Cebu Province

Cebu City Governor Gwendolyn Garcia has issued Executive Order (EO) No. 16 dated June 8, 2022 which lifts the face mask mandate in open spaces and outdoor settings in Cebu Province. The report on this was written by Morexette Marie B. Erram and published by the Cebu Daily News last June 9, 2022.

Garcia said in her EO, “As a necessary step towards the new normal, there is a need to rationalize the requirement on wearing of masks”.

Aside from closed and/or air-conditioned spaces, individuals showing symptoms of COVID are required to wear facemasks when going to public areas.

Editor’s Note: It’s only logical to lift the mask mandate for outdoor spaces because there is no COVID risk outdoors. [See More evidence showing that outdoor transmission of SARS-CoV-2 and other respiratory viruses nearly non-existent].

In fact, there is no reason to continue masking, as the scientific evidence is now showing that masks are useless for preventing COVID and that there is an associated risk to mask-wearing [see Federal judge strikes down mask mandates for planes and other forms of travel, Study shows 90% of particles can pass through cloth masks making them useless for preventing COVID transmission, Is it time for the Philippines to lift its mask mandate?, Compulsory masking is an assault on humanity].
