In this October 17, 2021 article for NTD, Mimi Nguyen Li reports on an impending class action lawusit filed against the Department of Defense over its COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

The plaintiffs are from several branches of the military, others are federal employees and federal civilian contractors who are facing a deadline “under the Federal COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate to receive a COVID-19 vaccine that violates their sincerely held religious beliefs, and have been refused any religious exemption or accommodation”. The plaintiffs are asking the court for a temporary restraining order to prevent the vaccine mandate from taking effect.

Editor’s Note: Constitutions of most countries protect citizens, even those who work for the federal government, against medical coercion and experimentation. When the government is working against our interest, we must be ready and courageous to assert our rights.

This is the same message we want to tell our fellow Filipinos. Our own laws protect our right to make independent medical choices. Our government has no right over our bodies, so if you truly do not want to take the vaccine, then fight for your right to refuse. We have prepared two resources to help you do the same [see Ready to pushback? Here are some documents you can use to protect yourself from vaccine coercion and KNOW YOUR RIGHTS: A Legal Explanation by Atty. Aaron Soguilon].

Remember that when you stand against these vaccine mandates, you are not only standing up for yourself. You are also fighting for children’s right to medical freedom, as well as your fellow adults’ right to work without vaccine coercion. We hope you realize that this coercion will not stop until our governments know that we have had enough of it [also read Nicanor Perlas Asks the Duterte Government to Cease and Desist Extreme and Unscientific Covid Policies That Are Killing and Harming Filipinos and Destroying the Country].
