In this October 17, 2021 article for NTD, Mimi Nguyen Li reports on an impending class action lawusit filed against the Department of Defense over its COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

The plaintiffs are from several branches of the military, others are federal employees and federal civilian contractors who are facing a deadline “under the Federal COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate to receive a COVID-19 vaccine that violates their sincerely held religious beliefs, and have been refused any religious exemption or accommodation”. The plaintiffs are asking the court for a temporary restraining order to prevent the vaccine mandate from taking effect.

The lawsuit was filed in the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and lists President Joe Biden, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas as defendants.
