In this September 7, 2021, article for Washington Times, Shen Wu Tan reports on the recent ruling made by Arizona Attorney General (AG) Mark Brnovich relating to vaccine mandates for government employees.

In the ruling, Brnovich said that Tucson City’s COVID vaccine mandate for public employees violates state law and the governor’s executive order. He says, “Tucson’s vaccine mandate is illegal, and the city could be held liable for attempting to force employers to take it against their beliefs…COVID-19 vaccinations should be a choice, not a government mandate.”

Brnovich says that his office has officially notified Tucson that its vaccine mandate needs to be rescinded or amended. If the city fails to do so within the next 30 days, then the Arizona treasury will withhold the city’s portion of state shared revenue until it complies with state law.

If we are not allowed to take charge of our own health, will governments be able to do so effectively? Will they be able to monitor how you feel in your own body? That we must give up our freedom for a cause that was predetermined by leaders who might not necessarily represent the will and the needs of their people. It invalidates all your effort to keep yourself healthy, and it tells you that the only way you can be healthy is if you follow what your government chooses for you.
