Dr. Knut Wittkowski: Lockdowns are creating a new epidemic

In the interview Tania and Dr. Wittkowski discussed how lockdowns made things worse, and why it shouldn’t be used again. Dr. Wittkowski pointed out that politicians can never control the virus, and the focus should have been about ensuring that the hospital system could cope up with the surge of individual who were going to get seriously ill from the disease. He goes on to explain that the data we have now shows that without the tests, society would never have realized that there was a new virus, and the epidemic would have been gone in about six weeks if there were no lockdowns. The lockdowns not only postponed herd immunity, it also created new strains and created a new epidemic. Dr. Wittkowski believes that if we continue with lockdowns, then there will be a never-ending epidemic as a result.

Dr. Wittkowski adds that in his opinion, lockdowns should have been lifted when it was clear that hospital systems were not going to be overwhelmed. Dr. Wittkowski also slams the changing strategies being implemented by governments, for example, the change in the definition of a “case”, and the modifications made in the cycle thresholds.

Dr. Wittkowski goes on to say, “we should not close down schools and the economy, we should focus on helping the elderly and vulnerable to self isolate. And we should also focus on dealing with the one problem that is really important, and that is preparing the immune system better to deal with that infection in a natural way so that the disease is not so severe.

Dr. Knut Wittkowski is not any medical expert. He holds a masters degree in biostatistics, a PhD in computer science, a doctor of science and medical biometry, including genetics and epidemiology. He was also a former head of research, design and biostatistics at the Rockefeller Foundation. He also formerly headed the college of epidemiology at the Rockefeller University in New York.
