COVID Deaths Remain Rare in Children and Young People

The following is a report created by the UK Health Security Agency and was published through SSRN last June 20, 2022. It looks at the COVID-19 deaths among children and young people (CYP) in England. It covers the period from March 2020 to December 2021.

The study has the following conclusion: “COVID-19 deaths remain extremely rare in CYP, with most fatalities occurring within 30 days of infection and in children with specific underlying conditions”.

Editor’s Note: This report is a more comprehensive review of the death data among CYP in England [compared to an earlier study published on this website [read Deaths from COVID are “Incredibly Rare” Among Children].
