Medical society bullies doctor for saying vaccines are experimental

This June 7, 2021 article was written by Tara Yap for Manila Bulletin. It reports on a statement released by the Philippine College of Physicians (PCP-Western Visayas) condemning one of its members, Dr. Dolores Octaviano for the latter’s statements in an online talk show.

According to PCP-Western Visayas, Octaviano made a “spurious claim that the COVID-19 vaccine can cause more deaths than what it is supposed to prevent”. Octaviano also is said to have mentioned that people are being used as guinea pigs in an experimental COVID vaccine that can harm the body.

PCP-Western Visayas Chapter head Dr. Aime Fabila refuted Octaviano’s claim and stressed that “getting vaccinated is a form of protection”.

We wanted to add this article to our website because it is rare for doctors in the Philippines to actually speak up against vaccines. We also wanted to show our support for Dr. Octaviano who was only speaking scientific facts.

Almost all medical societies would have acted the same way as PCP-Western Visayas. Indeed, we know for a fact that most medical societies think that vaccines are the only way out of the scamdemic, and would condemn their colleagues for promoting alternative viewpoints [this has been the case with doctors in the Philippines promoting Ivermectin]. We cannot blame these doctor-members of PCP-Western Visayas for being misled, we know that it must be difficult for them to attend to patients and do their research at the same time. We also know that the World Health Organization has not been very helpful in empowering doctors as they have been selling vaccines as the only solution out of this crisis.

We, however, call on medical societies, the PCP-Western Visayas, particularly in this instance, to look at the science. We have found numerous researches already showing that natural immunity is superior to vaccines. Internationally, doctors are also asserting Dr. Octaviano’s same points. It’s not like her insights were made up.
