Tourism in post-pandemic Asia: Vaccine passports, domestic tourism, and pricey flights

In this January 2, 2020 article for the South China Morning Post author Kok Xinghui reports on the predictions of tourism experts on the future of tourism in Asia this 2021. As international travels resume, experts say that the free movement pre-pandemic will not happen this year. They add, “it’s likely tourists will have to use a second passport – a globally recognized one that shows all the vaccines they have taken”.

Travels are also expected to be limited to travel bubbles (where residents from certain countries can only visit specific areas), and air travel will be more limited and as a result, it is also bound to be more expensive.

Editor’s Note: Early in April when we started reporting about COVID developments, we were already predicting the rise of vaccine passports. If the corona panic was not orchestrated by Big Pharma, it is becoming clear that they are exploiting it to earn profit.

It was clear to us that the corona panic is not due to the lethality of the virus [as early as April, we were already saying that the SARS-CoV-2 was not as deadly as the media was reporting. Several publication from credible sources have confirmed this, see CDC updates planning scenarios, shows IFR lower than flu and WHO says 10% of the world infected with SARS-CoV-2, puts IFR at 0.14%]. Despite the relatively high recovery rate among those who are inflicted with COVID-19, mainstream media has not changed its narrative. In fact, Big Tech has continued to support the “deadly virus” narrative, censoring alternative information that could ease the panic. Cheap, accessible drugs were subjected to systematic smear campaigns, paving the way for increased demand for costly, untested medicines like Remdesevir, and lately, the COVID-19 vaccines. Never mind that these vaccines are fast-tracked and largely untested [see Petition against Pfizer and other coronavirus vaccines launched in the UK].

After subjecting the world for 9 months of lockdowns and useless regulations, many have already forgotten the questionable bases of these restrictions. Air transport companies, employers, if not governments, will force large numbers of people to have themselves vaccinated in order to return to normal, despite the vaccine-pushers saying repeatedly that they do not know if the vaccine can prevent infection.

This is the society we have today. The many inconsistencies of the mainstream COVID narrative is glaring, but very few are questioning. Fear has controlled our societies. We have become easy targets, clamoring to be subjected to even greater control and manipulation [Are we suffering from a collective Stockholm Syndrome? Understand what got us here, read Faulty COVID-19 tests: Why prisoners love their jailers and never-ending lockdowns].

Vaccine passports, travel bubbles: the future of Asian tourism?

The coronavirus has changed the industry, forcing companies and countries alike to pivot from their existing models in a region where tourism is a huge economic driver.
