The following article published by Science Alert reports on the curious case of the Sawenko family, where parents got sick of COVID-19 while their children did not.
The two boys, aged 9 and 7, had mild symptoms but their PCR tests were negative. Meanwhile, the 5-year old daughter, who co-slept with her parents showed no symptoms during the entire episode.
Intrigued by the children’s negative results, researchers asked the family to take part in a study that required them to undergo repeated swabbing and RT-PCR tests. The children never tested positive for the virus but researchers discovered SARS-CoV-2 specific antibodies in their saliva. The youngest had the strongest antibody response.
Researchers said that the children may have actually been infected by the virus but their immune systems were so strong that it was able to “mount an antivirus response that was highly effective in restricting virus replication”.
Editor’s Note: This research offers initial support for the collective immunity approach being heralded by some of the world’s top medical experts [see The Great Barrington Declaration: Life must return to normal for the healthy, the vulnerable must be protected].
This article also highlights the reality that the only thing that can neutralize the SARS-CoV-2 (or any virus in general), is a strong immune system. No government-mandated solution can stop individuals from getting infected.
Why are governments so preoccupied with rolling out risky vaccines when the solution to the coronavirus panic is already here? [We must remember that even Dr. Fauci is saying that the vaccine will not be able to prevent infection, see Fauci: Early COVID-19 vaccines will only prevent symptoms, not block infection].
