Pfizer claims its COVID-19 vaccine is 90% effective against SARS-CoV-2

In this November 9, 2020 article published by Time, Alice Park reports on the results of the Pfizer vaccine trial. According to Pfizer, its COVID-19 vaccine can prevent 90% of disease compared to placebo.

Park clarifies that the effectiveness of the vaccine does not mean immunity against infection, but rather, it refers to the vaccine’s capacity to protect against illness.

Pfizer used the new mRNA technology to develop its vaccine. Moderna, Sanofi, and Astra Zeneca also uses the same technology. To date, no mRNA-based vaccine has received approval from the US FDA.

Editor’s Note: This article wants us to think that the miracle vaccine against COVID-19 has arrived,  but this is nothing more than a press release, if not an outright lie. What this article didn’t tell us is that at best, this vaccine can only prevent mild to moderate symptoms. But if we look at current data those who experience mild to moderate symptoms of COVID-19 have no need for the vaccine because they are bound to recover anyway. It will offer no benefit to at-risk populations who will need protection against infection [see  Fauci: Early COVID-19 vaccines will only prevent symptoms, not block infection and COVID-19 vaccine trials will not tell us if it can prevent moderate or severe cases]. We must remember that we have NEVER had a successful vaccine for coronaviruses.1https://www.abc.net.au/news/health/2020-04-17/coronavirus-vaccine-ian-frazer/12146616 What makes us think it is now possible to develop one in under a year?

Also, take note that his vaccine uses the mRNA technology which requires the genetic sequence of SARS-CoV-2. How can they expect the vaccine to be effective when SARS-CoV-2 has not yet been isolated? [Read CDC published article showing SARS-CoV-2 not infectious to humans and RT-PCR tests are scientifically meaningless].
