New study: Hydroxychloroquine is effective and safe for the treatment of COVID-19

The following is a meta-analysis of various reports that used hudroxychloroquine (HCQ) for COVID-19 treatment. Based on their research, authors Chadwick Prodromos and Tobias Rumschlag offers these four important results: (1) HCQ is consistently effective for COVID-19 when used early in the course of the disease. The earlier it is used, the more effective it is at preventing disease; (2) HCQ has efficacy against COVID-19 in a majority of studies; (3) there are no unbiased studies which showed that HCQ had a negative effect on COVID-19 patients; and (4) HCQ is safe for COVID-19 treatment when it is used responsibly.
