Coronavirus might disappear before a vaccine is developed

In this article for Al Arabiya English, author Tamara Abueish reports on the ideas of Dr. Guiseppe Remuzzi, director of the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research in Milan.

Remuzzi says symptoms among newly infected individuals are becoming less severe, and there are lesser number of people who will require intensive care. Remuzzi theorizes that this could be due to more people developing immunity against the SARS-COV-2. He adds that this could then lead to the eradication of the COVID-19 disease before the vaccines are developed.

Editor’s Note: Dr. Remuzzi is the third Italian doctor to say that the potency of the coronavirus is weakening [see Italian Doctors: Coronavirus Is Weakening]. This article further supports the importance of strengthening individual and collective immunity.
