These measures aim to enhance international preparedness and response systems for future health emergencies, building on lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic. The amendments include defining a “pandemic emergency” to facilitate better international collaboration, ensuring equitable access to medical resources, and establishing National IHR Authorities for improved coordination.
