117 employees file lawsuit against Texas hospital for mandating COVID vaccine

In this May 30, 2021 article for Epoch Times, Jack Phillips reports on a new lawsuit filed by more than 100 employees against the Houston Methodist Hospital. According to the report, the hospital was requiring all employees to be vaccinated or else sanctions, including suspension and termination.

The lawsuit was filed by Jared Woodfill, who said that the hospital’s mandate violates the Nuremberg Code of 1947.

A PDF copy of the lawsuit may be downloaded below.

Editor’s Note: While Houston Methodist’s CEO and President, Marc Boom said that 99% of the hospital’s 30,000 employees have already been vaccinated, that is not a rationale for forcing every single one of his employees to take the vaccine. Moreover, the Food and Drug Authority (FDA)’s document for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) explicitly states that the vaccines should be voluntary.

This lawsuit will serve as a lesson in history. If we are to retain our right to decide, people will need to stand up for their own beliefs, even if they belong to the minority. It can be a difficult legal battle for these 117 staff members of the Houston Methodist Hospital, but we want to state our gratitude for their courage. The entire world is looking at the results of this lawsuit as it could have repercussions for employers who are thinking of mandating vaccination.
