Philippines’ DOH to seek emergency use authorization for Sinopharm COVID injection
The following article was written by Gaea Katreena Cabico and was published by the Philippine Star on May 10, 2021.
In this article, Cabico discusses a plan by the Department of Health (DOH) to file an application seeking emergency use authorization (EUA) for the COVID injection developed by Sinopharm. According to Food and Drug Authorization (FDA) director Eric Domingo, “the government can apply for EUA”.
The FDA is an attached agency of the DOH.
Editor’s Note: Since when has it been acceptable for government agencies to endorse the use of an experimental drug? If this was legal, why didn’t the DOH do the same thing for experimental products like Ivermectin which had some evidence of efficacy in treating COVID-19 and is considered safe?
This is the reason why trust in the FDA and DOH is eroding. The same agencies designated to safeguard our health are the same people peddling Big Pharma products. If this isn’t corruption and a violation of FDA and DOH’s mandate, then we don’t know what it is [see Ramon Tulfo speaks about Ivermectin, asks Phil. Health secretary and head of FDA to resign for alleged corruption].
