It is clear from the news of the last few days that Israel attacked Iran because the US gave Israel the permission to do so. The US trapped Iran by seemingly negotiating for a peaceful solution to the nuclear issue. Iran lowered its vigilance. Two days before a scheduled peace negotiation between the US and Iran that was supposed to have happened on June 13, 2025, Israel invaded Iran. Israel killed top Iranian nuclear scientist and 8 top commanders of Iran’s military. See CCH article on the day of the attack.
One of the best current analysis of what is going on in the iran/Israel war is the June 17, 2024 interview of Scott Ritter at the platform of Judge Napolitano. The latter’s platform is one of the best and most objective plafforms on the issue of Russia/Ukraine war, Iran/Israel war and geopolitics in general. Its list of interviewees are all world class and are experts in their fileds including former CIA agents, high ranking US military officers, world diplomats, activists in the field of conflict and so on.
Ritter shows, in very strong language, why Trump is a liar and led Iran negotiators to believe that they were going to have continuing negotiations on June 15, 2025, Sunday. This was not to be because these de facto assurances of a peace resolution re nuclear issue in Iran led the latter to lower their guard against the treacherous and criminal attack of Israel on Iran last Friday, June 13, 2025. The other solid news source is Jeffrey Sachs whom CCH covered before. His reflections on the untrustworthy nature of the US government can be demonstrated in what the US recently did to Russia. Again, the US convinced Russia to be in the negotiatiing table. Yet, the US government authorized the treacherous attack by Ukraine on one of Russia’s nuclear triad on the eve of the negotiations.
