Confused or Alarmed by Trump’s Foreign Policy? Understand the Imperial Mindset and Hubris of the US. A Clear and Powerful Indictment of the US Empire by Jeffrey Sachs

Have the latest developments confused you? Are you puzzled with the contradictions in foreign affairs? Are you bewildered about the future direction of the world?

Introducing Jeffrey Sachs

Because of the precise and enlightening disclosure of world dynamics found in the featured video below, allow me to give a brief description of Jeffrey Sachs. It is important for all to discern and decide whether the information being shared below is credible or not.

Sachs is no ordinary observer of world affairs. For more than forty years, he has FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE of past developments and the current turbulence in the world today.

Jeffrey Sachs was full professor at Harvard University at 25 years old. Because of his brilliant economic work, several Secretary Generals of the United Nations invited him to be their adviser. He also has been consultant to many countries, including Ukraine and Russia, regarding their economic policies. He meets heads of states and Cabinet Ministers and Secretaries of the EU and other countries on a regular basis.

And, most important of all, while not a member of the Deep State of the US, he has long-term first-hand experience with the leaders of the Deep State and has often tried to warn them of the potential disasters of Deep State policies.

I mention snippets of Sachs background because of the incredible narrative he lays out in the video below. We must appreciate that his perspective on the world is coming from a participant in the world events for many decades. As such, he has first-hand experience of the developments that are unfolding before our eyes.

In short, Sachs is a very credible source, an important point to hold in mind in a world flooded with fake mainstream media narratives and social media platforms inundated with mis-information.

I met Sachs in the late 1990s at a workshop at the UN on sustainable development. We had a friendly debate then and had a 15-minute one-on-one cordial conversation in one of the meeting rooms at the UN. He struck me as a very warm person, credible, truthful and habitually supports his analysis on verified facts. That impression never left me all these years and continued to illustrate itself in the many videos he has since shared with the world on a whole range of issues.

Sachs recently spoke to members of the EU Parliament on some of the hottest developments in the world. Before we share his perspective on the world, it would be important to provide a brief context for what his views in this unique video below.

Source of Confusion and Frustration

Here are some of the developments confusing and even frustrating millions around the world. For more puzzling developments, see the recent article by Covid Call to Humanity on the Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde nature of Trump’s policies.1

Former US President Biden promised Ukraine that the US would support Ukraine to the end. Yet, Trump has not only called Zelensky a dictator and is threatening to end military support for Ukraine. But, worst, from the perspective of Ukraine, Trump is negotiating peace with Russia, without Ukraine and Europe.

Trump talks peace in Gaza. However, his peace plan aims to have Gaza owned and developed by the US as the Riviera of the Middle East. Not surprisingly, this “peace” plan has awakened the Arabic and Muslim world to unite against this US plan. It has led a normally docile US proxy, Egypt, to prepare for potential war with Israel. Meanwhile, the US and Israel continue to pursue its plan of having war with Iran.

Recently, J.D. Vance, Vice-President of the US, released a hornet’s nest at the Munich Security Council (MSC). He detailed, before shocked European leaders, the anti-democratic and anti-free speech policies of Europe, among other defects. European leaders, surprisingly, lashed out against Vance and warned him to stop interfering with the domestic affairs of other countries.

I purposely write the word, “surprisingly”, because, since the time of the Iraq War, this is the first time that Europeans have intensely resisted and criticized US interference in European affairs. Yet, for years, since the Special Military Operation (SMO) of Russia in Ukraine, EU and NATO were mere puppets, meekly accepting massive intrusion of the US in EU affairs.

Remember the US/British bombing of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline in the midst of the war In Ukraine? This dastardly and traitorous act of the US against one of its best allies, Germany, plunged the latter into economic meltdown. But, despite knowledge of this outrageous sabotage, Germany meekly accepted this disaster, preferring to please its US masters instead of defending the rights and lives of the own people. This is why I used the word “surprising” to describe the uncharacteristic response of the Vance’s riot act against the Europeans.

There is a well-used saying that goes: “With friends like these, who needs enemies!”

Jeffrey Sachs has an even more telling description of how the US treats its friends and allies. Sachs quotes the famous US strategist, Henry Kissinger who said: “ … it may be dangerous to be America’s enemy, but to be America’s friend is fatal.” (See video at the end of the article below).

The Video Itself

The video begins with Sachs describing his participation in many of the world events. His first-hand experience is vast and his knowledge is encyclopedic. He regularly finds himself in the orbit of world leaders and decision-makers.

He does this not to brag but to bring a realistic perspective on a range of hot issues. These include the gross imperialistic habits of the US, changing regimes that do not align with the US vision and intention for the world; the warlike nature of NATO; the confusion between NATO and the UE; the real origins of the war between Russia and Ukraine; the urgency of Europe to have a policies, especially those on the economy and security, independent of the US; the loss of broad-ranging happiness by Finland in the wake of its joining war-thirsty NATO; and many more interesting revelations.

The video is gripping and very informative. It is the best among the hundreds of videos on Jeffrey Sachs and his untiring effort to achieve world peace based on principles not on force.

The video is 1 hour, 38 minutes and 34 second long. This may be too long for those who are used to 3 – 5 minutes news formats. But for those wanting a deep and truthful understanding of what is going on, the entire video is definitely worth your time. You will have a different understanding of the US including the logic of its actions in the world, among many other amazing perspectives.

The world is lucky to have people like Jeffrey Sachs. He has the moral courage to unflinchingly pursue the truth to where ever it leads. He has lost many high-level friends along the way. But, now, in the end, finally his truth-telling is starting to influence world affairs, once again, as it should.

May Sachs have more years to his life so he can continue to help enlighten a world that has gone mad and predatory. With truthful information, individuals can now begin, in their own spheres of influence, to move away from turbulence to a world of true human solidarity and prosperity and peace.
