Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony: A Dystopian Display or a Progressive Paradigm Shift?

Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony: A Dystopian Display or a Progressive Paradigm Shift?

The Paris Olympics opening ceremony has sparked outrage for its perceived mockery of religious symbols, seen by some as an indication of the decline of “wokeism” and a return to traditional values. However, the true message is more sinister, reflecting the control and disdain of global elites over conventional beliefs and values. The ceremony’s eccentric spectacle is likened to the literary dystopian world of “The Hunger Games,” where the wealthy, powerful Capitol elites exploit and demean the struggling districts. This event symbolizes the abolition of national unity and the rise of a global ruling class that mocks and undermines what was once held sacred. According to the author, the Olympics now serve as a platform for this disturbing display of power and control over its goal of international cooperation.

Editor’s Note: The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics certainly appears to have sparked strong reactions, particularly regarding its perceived symbolism and the messages it might be sending. From an opinion standpoint, it’s worth considering the elements mentioned—the passing of the Olympic fire from a 100-year-old Olympian to a young Olympian, the drag show, and the performance featuring Marie Antoinette in the opening—each could be seen as symbolic of a shift in cultural and societal values.

It’s possible to interpret these elements as an idea of the global elite’s influence, using the ceremony as a platform to promote specific ideologies and lifestyles. Whether one sees these changes as progressive or troubling likely depends on personal beliefs and values. The ceremony’s eclectic nature prompts reflection on the direction society is heading and what these cultural signals might mean for the future. Are they spearheading the move towards a “new world” with a “new mindset”?

  1. It’s time for conservative parents to form “anti-wokeism” groups to protect the family and religious ideals of children. The LGBTQ for example has already a seat in the DepEd as a special committee.
