Study: Pandemic Response, Not Virus, Drove Global Excess Mortality
A study by Correlation Research in the Public Interest and the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières found that excess mortality during the COVID-19 pandemic was primarily due to public health measures, harmful medical interventions, and vaccines rather than the virus itself. Researchers analyzed data from 125 countries and concluded that lockdowns and mandates caused severe stress and deaths. They estimated 17 million excess deaths were linked to COVID-19 vaccines. The study suggests the pandemic response, not the virus, was the main driver of excess deaths, especially among vulnerable populations.
Editor’s Note: This study sheds light on a disturbing reality that we already know: the excess mortality during the COVID-19 pandemic was driven more by public health measures, harmful medical interventions, and vaccines than by the virus itself.
The lockdown measures had widespread negative effects that would be felt for a long time, including the closure of schools, which disrupted education and increased mental health issues among children. Economic shutdowns that led to job losses and financial insecurity.
If these measures and vaccines were the culprits, how should we rethink our approach to public health in future crises? Maybe more geared toward humanness as possible.
