Former Prime Minister Florin Citu has lost his parliamentary immunity after the Romanian Senate voted to conduct a criminal investigation alleging abuse of office and corruption in connection with the purchase of COVID vaccines.

According to the allegations, Citu, in cooperation with former health ministers Vlad Voiculescu and Ioana Mihaila purchased significantly more Pfizer and Moderna shots than necessary, and without documents to justify the purchase. You can find more information about the case here.

Editor’s Note: This is an important development because the result of this investigation can be used here in the Philippines to investigate our authorities who purchased and subsequently threw away millions worth of useless COVID vaccines. To date, some local government units (LGUs) are still urging their citizens to take the COVID shots in a bid to clear out the supplies.

Our government wasted millions of pesos on vaccines – money that could have been used for our recovery and poverty eradication projects. Can you imagine how much plundering they can make once SB1869 has been passed? When people are no longer allowed to question the mainstream narrative?
