#TrudeauMustGo Trends on Twitter as Canadians Fight Back Against Government’s COVID Narrative
In this September 15, 2022 article for The Counter Signal, Mike Campbell reports on the latest trend to take Twitter by storm.
Across Canada, Canadians are posting “According to Trudeau, I am an extremist”, followed by a description of themselves and the hashtag #TrudeauMustGo.
The trend came as a remembrance of Canadian Priminister Justin Trudeau’s September 2021 remarks wherein he called Canadians who refuse to take the COVID jab as “racists, sexists, extremists, and people who don’t believe in science”. He also said, [I]t’s a small group, that takes up room…And we have to make a choice in terms of leaders, in terms of the country. Do we tolerate these people?”
Editor’s Note: We are glad to see that people are standing up to reclaim the narrative.
Aside from remembering Trudeau’s 2021 remarks, the internet protest is also a response to Trudeau’s September 5, 2022 statement to the media where he said, “If we are able to hit that 80%, 85%, 90% of Canadians up-to-date in their vaccinations, we’ll have a much better winter with much less need for the kind of restrictions and rules that were so problematic for everyone over the past years”.
How effective will this Twitter protest be? We will know in the next few weeks how the government will respond.
As it is, however, this trend is already making waves because it is shining a spotlight on the real reason why some Canadians rejected the COVID shots. As you will see from the collection of #TrudeauMustGo posts included in the article below, at least one father died after taking the COVID shot.
It is also notable that some vaccinated Canadians are speaking out against the abuses of their government. Will this be the end of Trudeau’s political career?1In 2014, Daniel Dickin wrote an article republished by Huffpost cautioning against Trudeau’s tendency to become a dictator. Now Canadians are realizing the truth behind Dickin’s words. Read Why Canada Will Become a Dictatorship Under Trudeau
