Fear appeal: The science of using fear to manipulate people into submission

In this November 6, 2020 article for his own website, Dr. Peter Breggin talks about the fear appeal and how it can be used to scare people into submission. According to Dr. Breggin, more than 70 years of research have gone into the fear appeal, but this research has not been used to empower people. Instead, it has been widely used to intimidate us into complying to public health directives without question.

Dr. Breggin goes on to assess how fear appeal was used during the “pandemic”, which has led millions of citizens to accept harsh lockdowns and avoid family gatherings. Dr. Breggin zeroes in on how Dr. Anthony Fauci flawlessly implemented the fear appeal to promote specific drugs and an agenda for a new world order “where there is no human crowding and where we humans change our habits and thousands of years of social evolution”.

Editor’s Note: For anyone who has been monitoring the SARS-CoV-2 fiasco, the fear appeal is a central concept. It serves to explain many of the contradicting pronouncements of various government leaders, and rationalizes the need for massive censorship in social media and other internet platforms.

If information was free flowing and people learned about early treatments options, and natural immunity, then the fear will dissipate. People would not feel cornered and hopeless.

This article drives homes the reality that we have all been manipulated into submission. The rampant use of the fear appeal despite the encouraging change in health outcomes is proof that they have a much bigger agenda for manipulating the world [for example, the fear mongering around the UK and South African variant, when as early as April 2020, more than 30 variants of the SARS-CoV-2 have already been discovered, with no real impact on health outcomes, see April study shows the coronavirus has mutated into at least 30 different strains and New York Times: The coronavirus is mutating, and that’s fine].
