COVID-19 patients testing positive after recovery aren’t infectious

0

This article published by Bloomberg explores the results of the study conducted by the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention which showed that COVID-19 survivors who tested positive for coronavirus after their recovery are no longer infectious.

This finding is important as many countries begin reopening the economy, and could provide important guidance for post-COVID policies.

Editor’s Note: The results of the study mentioned in this article offer us an assurance that a person infected by the coronavirus can continue to function normally in society. They can reintegrate back into their communities without fear of infecting others.

If COVID-19 survivors are no longer contagious once their bodies have been able to fight the virus off, can this mean that asymptomatics are not as contagious as we think? Why then do we push for longer quarantines for the healthy?
